Crystal Shop Sales Assistant – 4 to 5 days per week – Crows Nest Store, NSW

Hi there,

are you a person who loves crystals and can talk about them from your own experience? Do you enjoy helping others in a sales situation? You are able to work full time? And can you get to the Crows Nest store easily?

If you answered yes to all four questions, then read on.

We are looking for sales assistant who is self-motivated, excited to pass on the joy of crystals by making sales and sharing stories about how crystal work.

The job requires:

  • previous retail or hospitality sales or similar face to face service with evidence of stable employment (excludes Covid-19 impact on employment history).
  • that you are happy to work on your own.
  • you to be able to self-supervise and organize your day to get complete the various activities of the job.
  • that you are able to follow directions of the owners and give helpful insights about improving the business.
  • on-going effort in learning and applying the knowledge about crystals insights and spiritual/personal development.
  • that you enjoy retail and are not looking for a backup job to your healing or tarot business as you will be unable to promote it through our business.

Activities include:

  • serving customers:
    • so that customers are delighted and send great messages to owners, leave positive internet reviews, and send referral business
    • to meet sales levels (bonus arrangements after a trial period or a promotion)
  • ensuring customers and yourself meet the day-to-day Cov-19 Safe requirements e.g. QR check in, double vaccine checks, floor space requirements, etc – whatever is the current NSW Health rules.
  • tidying and dusting shelves so that the shop looks inviting including following the guidance of owners including occupational health & safety
  • re-stocking shelves and advising owner of new stock requirements
  • pricing stock
  • keeping floors and bathroom clean
  • posting crystal insights to Facebook, Google and Instagram
  • keeping owners informed about requirements for new stock, new ideas to grow the business, issues that may come up, etc

Getting to Work

We do have a parking space but otherwise recommend you are comfortable travelling by public transport to the shop or you can walk. This is particularly important with Covid-19 disruption of public transport..

Vaccinations and Work Hours

You are required to have double vaccination of a Covid-19 vaccine before employment begins.

The job will be a fixed 4 days a week increasing to 5 days when the owners are out of town.

Shop days are during the week Tuesday to Friday, Saturday and Sunday. With Covid-19 causing sales down turns there will be certain days that we may cover as owners instead e.g. Sundays or we may nominate to close a day temporarily until things pick up. We need a flexibility and understanding on your part around the Covid-19 impacts.

We follow all business regulations and are a member of the Australian Retailers Association.

Pay grade levels are as per NSW Government Retail Awards.

This is a full time job. This will not suit with changing schedules because of partners’ job needs, studies or similar.
