Blue Angelite Crystal Heart

Here are a group of Angelite Hearts in medium size grown in Peru and shaped in India! Being a soft toned blue yet strong in colouring they are the true colouring.

Interestingly this stone grows as a botryoidal mass within a white surrounding where the angelite has interacted with soil around it. Therefore many show white flecks and /or  red-brown lines both of which are natural in this crystal.

Special Notes

• Angelite's is mostly seen as a blue stone from Peru - it actually has a chalky white coating that is polished off.
• Anhydrite is mostly seen in Mexico (rarely found).
• The anhydrite fan has been impossible to buy commercially in recent years.
• If it absorbs water it transforms to gypsum. If gypsum is heated to 200 degrees Celcius, it transforms back. Read more geological information.
