Long Clear Quartz Crystal Point

I decided to put up a good batch of beautiful long Clear Quartz Crystal Points and a couple of other shapes. While I bought them as from China, so much of Brazil goes to China that they could be Brazilian. Some of the long crystals are called lasers or lazers.

Each has a unique look, some with cute barnacles on it and a host of other interests. Use yours as a wand, an activator or just enjoy its beauty geologically.

Long points with of good quality are hard to get as most clear quartz points are short. Like other sites, I see many damaged ones are now being repaired. I had fun at lapidary doing this (although I am no expert so no fuss pots!) as I found it relaxing and pleasing to see the form coming back. I did check which crystals wanted the repair.

• A – a very short part of a long point that I semi-shaped into a tumble – I love it!
• B – Main points has a penetrating crystal and I ground the two bases so it sits upright.

Cacoxenite in Quartz

Beautiful tufts / strands of gold, yellow and brown - often fanning. Tibetan/Sichuan Quartz:

• Said to be found in the three areas bordering Tibet and China actually many now from the Sechuan province.
• Often has black inclusions which may be are all magnesium or carbon.
