Very beautiful Clear Quartz Spheres – how can you resist? These balls can go to people for a lovely range of reasons. As small ‘thank you” gifts, by a collector of spheres, or to someone who needs some help while studying.  Don’t forget with all spheres you can buy stands to go with them!

Each sphere is the same size (despite what photos may suggest) and all are lovely quality. Yet each is so delightfully different I thought you could pick your own from very clear to lots of mists. Photos 3a and 3b is of  #3 garden quartz sphere. Sphere #11 has chlorite in it.

Green spots and splashes in clear quartz. Most often from Brazil. Emerald green colour coated all over a quartz cluster is painted quartz from China - the quartz is usually a milky quartz that wouldn't have sold easily.

    • Often found in mineral veins with metal ores.
  • Often been used for hardstone carvings,
  • Many additional properties occur depending on mineral inclusions, coatings, shape, facets, cluster shapes, location, unusual influences during growth and coatings.
  • When contaminants are added to the process the crystals take on a yellow, red, or other tint.

Additional Information About Varieties

Tibetan/Sichuan Quartz:

  • Said to be found in the three areas bordering Tibet and China actually many now from the Sechuan province.
  • Often has black inclusions which may be are all magnesium or carbon.
