Mookaite Angel – Medium

One of the most supportive shapes for people is a Mookaite Jasper Angel. Big enough to enjoy looking at it and small enough to hold comfortably. It is also known as mookaite jasper or Australian Jasper. It comes from Western Australia. Many will buy it to support an friend of family member travelling overseas to offset home sickness.

Carved in India, the value for money is better. They sit higher, cost less. But the bases are narrow so may fall over e.g. if you have kids running past on timber floors or near a windy window.

• Not really a crystal based on geological definition as Jaspers are dust, soil, sand, rocks, crystals
  • ... washed into rivers and oceans - "Laid down".
• Rocks have three types: sedimentary, metamorphic, igneous.
• Can be highly polished and is used for items such as vases and boxes.
• Can be hard to know if some stones are xxx agate or xxx jasper. They both belong to chalcedony so you need to know how they grew.
