Here I have a lovely large Smoky Citrine Cluster on one side. And on the other side are small clusters of yellow Muscovite in among Clear Quartz crystals. It’s rare to get a large cluster that is not “rubbish” which is why we offer so few large pieces.

But this one is not, as the smoky citrine crystals have good colour, shape and nice clarity (see photo 2). The main photo shows the gorgeous muscovite clusters and the clear quartz points. Both are of high grade.

I had no idea which side to put on display for first look! I love the unusual which is no surprise as I have been a collector for over 15 years so crystal clusters like this thrill me.

It is not the “prettiest” cluster when view from a distance but close up it will fascinate a person interested in the geological .

And I tend to hog the large quartz clusters like this one. But I also “check-in” and this one said it wanted to stay in my crystal room for a while after we moved to Coffs harbour. Now its says it’s time to find its for ever friend and be seen on the internet.

  • I have done my best to video this piece so you can see details but I never feel I do these larger crystals justice! Click here to view.
  • Yes it’s expensive, but it is unusual and I will include a stand for display in a cabinet or shelf.
  • Also it will cost me heaps to pack, insure and send it. If you are a local pickup, I can refund that.

  • Powdered mica glitter is used to decorate traditional clay pots
  • Sheet mica is used principally in the electronic and electrical industries. Its usefulness in these applications is derived from its unique electrical and thermal properties and its mechanical properties.
  • The purple variety is coloured by lithium and is known as lepidolite.
  • Mid to dark green variety is called fuchsite
    • Combined with quartz creates green aventurine
    • Much which is currently available in stores is fuchsite layered into quartz and some parts are so merged they have are now green aventurine. Recently if the fuchsite is dominant they call it fuchsite aventurine.
