Purpurite Specimen

I only get purpurite specimens in stock every few years as its an uncommon crystal.I would not buy this for someone who wants to hold it a lot. The purple is soft so sheds onto my fingers each time I hold it.

This mineral is a manganese phosphate, MnPO₄ with varying amounts of iron depending upon its source. It occurs in colour ranges from brownish black via purple and violet to dark red.
