These salt lamp bulbs are for the new more waterproof versions of cords as mandated by NSW Electrical regulations.
- Cords bought from us prior i.e. without transformers, need a different bulb called bulbs for old cords.
These are clear or golden colour and with screw base. ignore packaging dimensions below. They are also meant to be hot in order to free the ions from the salt.
Do NOT use these in selenite lamps as it dries them out and they become brittle. Use LED lights instead that you can buy from Bunnings.
You do NOT need to buy a bulb if you buy a salt lamp from the shop as it comes with one. However, many buy a spare bulb for “just in case”.
