The box chain is good for light weight pendants – those under 5 grams – which is most of those on this website e.g., the $30-$50 double terminated pendants. On the “more information” tab you can read the weights of the pendant you are looking at.
We offer a range of lengths measured end-to-end – clasp to hook. To pick the length you want – get cotton, twine, etc and pop on yout pendant, check in the mirror to see what length suits and that is then the end to end length of the chains.
The 45 cm chain is a heavier chain which I call “thin” versus “fine” hence the extra price.
