Real or Fake?

These days there is a problem with various of synthetic, coloured howlite and reconstituted crystals being called “turquoise”. I was caught out as what I 8 years ago morphed over recent years into not natural even though they passed the acetone test.

The increase in fakes are due to the turquoise mines running out.
