Beautiful green jade from Myanmar (Burma). It is the jadeite variety which mainly comes from Myanmar where its export is strictly controlled.
It is in the Infinity shape. This must have been very tricky to carve. You would hang it using a thin string through the hole. Or take the jade pendant to a jeweller to make a jump ring in silver of gold.
The meanings of the shapes as given by one of our Maori customers who love these shapes:
- Spiral – “Koru” meaning “life”
- Infinity – “Mo Ake” meaning “the infinite; forever; eternal”
- Double Infinity – “Wha Nau Mo Ake” meaning “forever family”
Always hard to find, if you like it get it as these green jade pendants in jadeite variety at this budget are once every several year finds.
