A fascinating Chrysocolla specimen that has a layered structure of chryso – malachite, and caves with natural botryoidal malachite. Both crystals are copper derivatives and so at different times create layers as they grow as the copper oxidizes and mixes with other mineral differently over the years.
Definitely one to consider if buy a gift for a rock collector rather than a metaphysically interested person.
It does NOT like handling. It is very delicate – watch the video and you can see it. The chrysocolla falls off easily so even with careful packing it will arrive with little pieces detached.
Hence, I am doing a major discount on this stunning crystal to safeguard you from being upset at pieces coming off – so NO complaints will be accepted.
Ones like these have been bought by a customer who created a coffee table with boxed bottom and glass top so she could enjoy the energy and the look. The crystal was safe from dust or being knocked under the glass. Do not wash it in water although you may want to “spritz it” with water. I would keep it away from a hot dry area in case that dries it out more, so it ends up weaker.
Look at the photos and watch this video. We have had it at the shop for some years in a glass cabinet on a “tray” so we could move it with not too much handling.
Enjoy this chrysocolla specimen for years to come – it truly is beautiful!
