Muscovite Cluster

Here I have a very unusual and mini cluster of Muscovite cluster with a touch of matrix that might be albite. Muscovite is a special form of mica. I love the unusual which is no surprise as I have been a collector for over 15 years so crystal clusters like this thrill me. And yes I over the years I collected 3 of these myself! Every cave they open seems to have a different form so I love going to the supplier and seeing the latest form and colour.

Muscovite stimulates the mind and brain and improves agility of thought and problem solving. I love how it help me let go mental pain coming from anger at a situation.

And the cluster itself is great for group work. After reading the healing properties of this albite cluster with muscovite, I can image it helping someone work with their group consciousness and getting “re-integrated”!

• Mica is widely distributed and occurs in igneous, metamorphic and sedimentary regimes.
• The earliest use of mica has been found in cave paintings created during the Upper Paleolithic period (40,000 BC to 10,000 BC).
• Powdered mica glitter is used to decorate traditional clay pots
• Sheet mica is used principally in the electronic and electrical industries. Its usefulness in these applications is derived from its unique electrical and thermal properties and its mechanical properties.
• The purple variety is coloured by lithium and is known as lepidolite.
